Personal finance website WalletHub.com has named Nebraska as the fifth best state in which to raise a family. WalletHub's data team compared the 50 states based on 40 key indicators of family-friendliness, ranging from median family salary to housing affordability to unemployment rate. According to the study, Nebraska has the ninth best median family salary (adjusted for cost of living). Moreover, in addition to having one of the nation's lowest unemployment rates, the Cornhusker State offers the second best housing affordability; sixth lowest divorce rate; and tenth highest percentage of two-parent families.
