'Report: Consumer confidence soars in Nebraska'

(Omaha World-Herald) -- Omaha.com reports, "Survey results showed that consumer confidence spiked upward during March among Nebraska residents, reaching the highest level since the survey's inception." The survey was conducted by UNL's Bureau of Business Research, which found that "the consumer confidence index rose from 94.6 in February to 100.5" last month. Eric Thompson, an economist who serves as bureau director, noted that "more time is needed to see if the last month's results point to a continuing trend."
