Study: Nebraska named a top 10 state for millennials

(WalletHub) -- Finance site WalletHub.com reports that Nebraska was named the 10th best state overall for millennials -- individuals born between 1981-1997. To determine the most livable places for these Americans who are ages 36-20, WalletHub's analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 24 key metrics, including categories such as population share of millennials, median household incomes for millennials, and millennial unemployment rates. Nebraska scored especially high in the key categories of "quality of life" (7th best) and "economic health" (8th best). Nebraska was recognized for having the fifth lowest percentage of millennials still living with their parents. Also, Nebraska had the 2nd lowest percentage of unemployed millennials -- and had the 11th lowest housing costs.
