(Lincoln Journal Star) -- JournalStar.com reports that "Nebraska was the only state to see a decline in personal income in the first quarter," according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. "The state saw a 0.1% decline in the first quarter of 2017, compared with the fourth quarter of 2016. Nationally, income grew 1% on average." The article notes that "other Midwest farm states had some of the slowest growth" nationally, with Iowa and North Dakota growing at only 0.2%, Minnesota at 0.5%, and Kansas, Illinois and South Dakota at 0.6%.
