Board of Directors

The Chamber

The Butler County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors represent a cross-section of our community. They work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization and the future of our county. Board members serve three-year terms and new members are elected each fall at the quarterly membership luncheon to replace outgoing board members. Candidates are nominated by Chamber member businesses and must receive majority vote of the membership to be elected to the board.

  • Luke Beerbohm is a native of Fairbury, Nebraska but moved to David City in July 2014. He received his bachelor of communications degree from Doane College. He is currently employed as an Agent with Insurance Services at First National Bank. Prior to, Beerbohm was a commercial & ag lender with First National Bank of Omaha. Beerbohm’s wife, Danielle, is the Principal at Bellwood Elementary. Together, they have three children: Hadley & Reece (7) and Anders (3). Beerbohm serves on the David City Golf Course Board, is a TeamMates mentor, and is involved in the David City Explorers youth basketball program.

  • Erin Hotovy was born and raised in David City and graduated from Aquinas Catholic. In October 2014 he moved home to open David City Ace Hardware. Prior to, Hotovy lived in Lincoln, working for Walgreens in Corporate Purchasing and Store Management. Hotovy’s wife, Melissa, is an activities aide at David Place. They have two daughters: Ainsley (13) and Addison (2). Hotovy also serves on the Butler County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, is on the Thorpe Opera House Board of Directors and is a volunteer for the Nebraska Democratic Party.

  • Cortney Couch is a native of Mead, Nebraska. After receiving his bachelor of arts degree from Hastings College in 1996, he began his teaching career at David City High School where he currently serves as the high school principal. Couch received a master's in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. His wife, Heather works at Butler County Clinic and together they have three daughters: Olivia (16) , Maya (13), and Avery (11).

  • Kirsten Husmann is a native of Wood River, Nebraska. After receiving her bachelor of science degree from Bellevue University in Healthcare Administration, she began her career at Union Bank & Trust in April of 2012. In 2010, she moved to David City and currently serves as Branch Manager/Ag Loan Officer for Union Bank & Trust. Kirsten also serves as the Financial Secretary for Redeemer Lutheran Church in David City. Her husband, Eric, owns his own business, H2 Equipment and together they have three sons: Bentley (6), Jase (3), and Levi (1).

  • Kory Kuhlman is a Financial Adivisor for Edward Jones in David City. He has his wife Kasey live on an acreage northwest of David City where they raise their three kids: Addison (9), Chase (7), and Will (2). Kuhlman and Kasey are both natives of the area. He is a graduate of David City High School and went on to get Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kuhlman began is career in finance with Ameritrade in Omaha before moving back to the area. He has worked as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones for the past ten years.

  • Keith Marvin is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986, he began working and then received his Master’s in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996. In 1990, he moved to David City and has owned and operated Marvin Planning Consultants, Inc. for the past seven years. His wife, Denise works at Fargo Assembly and together they have four children; three daughters: Allison, Sarah, Ashlee, and one son: Wyatt. Keith also serves on the David City Planning Commission and the Thorpe, Inc. Board of Directors.
