State Senators Have Introduced 430 Bills After Eight Legislative Days

Nebraska lawmakers have introduced 430 bills after eight legislative days in the new session. Tomorrow, Jan. 18, marks the Legislature's final day for bill introduction. In recent years, between 650 and 700 bills have been offered during the "long session" of the Unicameral. The Legislature this week will begin public hearings to examine new bills. Hearings typically begin at 1:30 p.m. (CT) each legislative day and will continue through March 23.
